Unhappy great, i cracked my blade also

*sigh* i dropped my blade 5 feet down to the floor . It now has a hairline crack 0.25 inches away from the heel. (The length of the razor's edge is 2 & 1/2 inches from heel to point.) Should i throw it away or is it still useable?

Looking in the mirror and pretending to shave, i found out that i don't use the edge area with the crack to shave- it's too close to the heel. But then again i might not be able to hone/strop it properly because the edge isn't solidly connected to the heel stabilizer. any thought?

If it's not in pieces, don't throw it... Try honing and shaving and see what happens...

I would not use it. To much of a chance to rip your face.

    Just my two cents,

I don't think I would use it either. I just got an Eboy special a DD Special #1 in super shape the only problem is someone apparently tried to hone off or down the square point to make more of a round point and not only didn't succeed but slightly bent the tip. I don't think I would care to shave with it. Its just a collectable now.
