Default Only the heel of my blade is getting sharp

Only the heel of my blade is getting sharp...passing TNT. It has a smile. I've been trying rolling x's and diagonal strokes to no avail. Any suggestions? Frustrated to all get out...

Honing a smile can be challenging to new honers. Checking out the strokes for honing a razor section of the Wiki.

Pay particular attention to the swooping X stroke.

In order to tell what's happening on the hones, you can do a couple of things. Use a black market to mark the bevel of the razor and the spine and do some passes on the stones to see what's happening. Adjust the stroke until you're removing all the black marks with your stroke.

    What stones are you using?

Thanks for the help. I think I finally got it. Have to wait for some whiskers before I can shave test.

That's where I get my bevels and spines, on the black market. Cheaper than paying all those taxes....

Oops ... HAHAHA... I was wondering how you could afford to sell all those sweet razors for so little
