    Default Curved Blade

I got an W&B blade the other day from E-bay that I discovered when beginning the sharpening process that the front and back of the blade were higher than the middle. In other words there was a slight dip in the blade as you moved from the front of the blade to the back. Any suggestions for making this straight again?

No. If you look at the 1961 Barbers Manual there are two blades there with dotted lines. The second one is what I am talking about. But the dip was more pronounced that the one in this picture.

The barber's manual says you should form a slight belly in the blade and they show you how to do it. Some razors, like the big Fillies come that way.

I agree that the Fillies have a little belly. Mine goes the other way. Instead of a belly it is a dish.

Just curious; does it say "Bow" razor on it. Does anybody know what this designation means on WB's?

No it does not have Bow on the razor.

I have a W&B razor that says Bow razor on the blade. But the blade is straight. It used to be my favorite razor.
