    Default Restoring My Wapi

A few month ago, I dropped my Wapi. The full story can be found here. I managed to clear the major damage out. I left it aside as I got busy with work. I was clearing my stuff during holidays and decided to take a shot before I part with my Striaght razor artillery and using my double edge razors. However, I never managed to get a good edge on this razor. I am not sure whether it is salvageable but I thought to ask for help and see if any body is willing to put an edge on it. If anybody (preferably in Ontario, Canada) is willing to help me out please send me a note. I will pay for the shipping of course.
    Thanks,

That bevel looks very uneven, particularly near the toe. My Wapi hones fine, but I have heard many complain about trouble with Wapis. I personally find the steel to be rather soft, however I believe that many fail to lie flat on hones.

What is your honing progression/ hones you use and how you are using them?

Sorry, I just had a look at what happened. Have you taken 1/8th of steel away and reset the bevel?

Wow, you certainly brought it a long way from its prior state!

Like said, the bevel is uneven, and (from what I can see from these pictures) it looks like the edge might be frowning a little...but it may be the angle of the pictures.

I don't like in Canada, but if you'd like I can see what I can do for it.

If you're in no hurry, just see if anyone else offers to help that's in Canada. My offer will stand so take your time.

Thanks for the replies. I tried hard to set the bevel by Norton 4/8 k but I do not think I was successful. I also got some rough sand paper on my Norton and tried to set the bevel. I was thinking to find a norton 800/1000 and do the bevel with that one. If I cannot get it working either I will take my honing skills on another beginner level straight or stay with my double edges for a while. If no one show interest in Canada I might ask Rob.

    Thanks for the offer,
