Thanked: 20Which is your favorite 1k ????
So, after a year of using my Shapton GS 1k, I'm in the market for another. Which is your favorite 1k and why? Thank you guys.

Hm, my facourite 1.000k ?! I think I don´t have a stone that is rated at 1.000.000
I think you meant 1k, or 1.000, right?
My favourite 1k is the Naniwa Super. It´s an allround good 1k,
it polishes and doesn´t leave deep scratches (for a 1k)
I didn´t try the Chocera, though

Thanked: 20you've never heard of a 1 million grit stone? really? hahaha, no. I did notice but it was too late to go back and edit so if there is a moderator out there , I'd appriciate a correction. Thank you.

Thanked: 20I love everything about it except for the fact that there is only a 1mm left on it. I've used it a ton this past year and had to lap out a deep crator left by a falling scraper. I was glad to see it chip rather than shatter as one would expect.

I have a Cerax 1k/6k combi, too. This 1k was enough for me a few years,
it did it´s job very well.
I don´t think there are much alternatives to:
Dmt 1.2k (extra strong cutting power, no need to lap)
Naniwa Super 1k (nice feeling, nice power, but no deep scratches left)
Naniwa Chocera 1k
Shapton 1k
(and one that hasn´t been mentioned: ) Norton 1k
You could of course go the extra mile and purchase an Aoto 1-2k japanese natural hone
