Flattening w/ bad Lapper on bad Nortons
This is in reference to a post in another thread where I go at length about using a defective flattening stone on two combination Norton synthetic waterstones. The "mexican quality" (hecho en Mexico) 4k/8k Norton's 4k side is a problem that may not go away, but it seems that I've found a way to flatten them, even though it is a chore.

(the Norton honing part starts on page 4 under "Waterstone Insanity")
This thread also serves as a kind of re-introduction (done that officially once before, the first introduction was erased in the crash of '07) and apparently successful log of my sensitive skin's conditioning for better str8-razor shaves. Trying to stay on-topic for this sub-forum and not wanting to cut & paste and re-write stuff too much I figure it's better to link it.
So, guys. Any advice? I haven't tried to hone with the Nortons yet, I'm optomistic but there may be difficulties. I've heard glass panels with sandpaper can be used as cheap lappers. Links/advice and such are certainly welcome.
