Thanked: 480Any Nearby Honefolks?
Are any of you hone folks near the Southern Tier of NY? Near Binghamton perhaps?
I would love to sit and work with somebody that knows what they are doing, so I can have them tell me what I am doing wrong, right, and possibly help to improve my skill level. I can make things sharp, but I cant help but feel they are not as sharp as they could be.
Since I am at the bottom of the honing learning curve, anybody with skill will be better than me, so you don't need to be a meister, just better than me!
I'll buy the pizza and supply the drinks!

Thanked: 480Hi Bud et al,
Does the members map show which member is a willing teacher? or just where people live?
I'm sure I can find lots of people who use a razor, but that does not mean they have any interest in honing their own, or teaching anybody else to hone.

There are a few of us in the Rochester area, but that's about 2.5 hours. You could probably convince me to drive to Binghamton for a day of razor tom-foolery though. I'm actually having a mini meet at my place on Saturday here in Rochester; you're more than welcome if you can make it.
