the 100 razor honing march
well it seems to become one of the steps closer to a true honer this is a right of passage. honing 100 razors. what do you all think about this. good idea or bad.

Are you asking if it is a good idea to hone 100 razors? I still don't get it.

If you are learning to hone, I would suggest you do it on your own razors.

Your question was whether we would perceive if, that after honing a hundred razors, you would be a step closer to being a 'true honer' wasn't it?
I don't think so. You would probably be a step closer if you learned (and I'm not presuming that you are a learner, just using this for example) if after honing one satisfactorily you could repeat that step, then face the next challenge.
I must have painted a hundred walls - I'm still no closer to being a Leonardo da Vinci, though!

I can hit 100 golf balls, and I'm pretty sure that I'm just about as likely on shot #100 to shank that sucka into the woods!

Assuming you are employing proper technique learned from an advanced member one on one and/or from reading, videos and the like..... the old adage "practice makes perfect" is applicable IME.
BTW, nothing wrong with buying 100 razors IMO and 200 is even better. YMMV. Just don't buy 'em all at once.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

OK I admit it the whole 100 razor goal was my fault, but it was taken so far out of context it ain't even funny...
Somewhere back in a discussion with one of the various now gone Honsters I said "You should hone a 100 razors before you even think about saying you know anything about honing" we were talking e-bay razors here BTW, that somehow got turned into "If I hone 100 razors I am a Honemeister" Then some of them started offering free honing to accomplish this, which was not part of the conversation at all... Now we all know how that turned out, so yes we put an end to all that...
Now I will own up to saying the 100 razor thing,(even though they took it out of context) but after that, it was all serious BS and has no basis in fact what-so-ever....
Climbing back down now
