    Default Great shaver!

Thanks for all the replies, it did have a bevel set(w/o tape ) But a few runs on the 8000 and the Coticule followed by some diamond honing film and I was ready to go. Shaves beautifully, I think I have to do something with these scales however, that beautiful blade deserves better than the generic plastic that came with it.

Now I just have to work on my mutant midget Wade and Butcher. This one here: It's smaller than it looked to me, blade is perhaps 2" to 2.25 " full wedge no hollow. I'm not sure what to do with it. I'm afraid I may have already messed up the bevel, never having handled a wedge but... not sure if I'm supposed to shave or remove Corns with it.

oh, it has hollow, but it's still probably more work than on your friodur. depends how soft the steel is.
you can use it for shaving if you want. once it's sharp that is.

FWIW I did two of the 7/8 NOS Friodurs that popped up recently. Treated both just like any other NOS razor - started on the Naniwa 5k as if the bevel was already set and ran up my normal progression. Both came out phenominal.

Thanks It's a work in progress, but it seems to be good steel, and you are correct it does have a micro hollow.

Thanks I'm enoying great shaves with this razor, I'm very glad I bought it, and that I chose to hone it myself, I'm learning. I have one of the New MST Thuringians on the way, I can't wait to play around with it.
