    Default Honemeisters

This is probably somewhere else, and i did look a bit, with no luck:

Can honemeisters willing hone or teach others (locally) to hone post below?

I'm after a honemeister as close as possible to Canberra, Australia as I have 2 razorz that need re-honing, I've tried to do some basic honing myself, and there is definite improvement, but it's not near as good as when i first got the blades.

I'd like to learn to touch up my blades and also learn good techniques for keeping them sharp for the longest possible time.

While I don't see myself as a Honemiester I have honed my share of razors and feel they are shave ready.

I'm in the Fresno area, Central CA... and still trying to escape...

I thought Lynn was the resident "Honemeister"

Anywho I'm in Sydney if that's any help.
I charge for honing but share what little I know for free.

At least Sydney is a lot closer, if anyone isn in Canberra or closer to sydney, love to learn what I can, else I'll go with sending my razors to somebody as near as possible (be it sydney etc).

Lynn's in America right? Not Australia??

Yep. The Lynnmeister is in the USA. Was just playing with the terminology.
I think he was the first to be dubbed "honemeister"... .

I don't know how far you are from Sydney but I drove 60 miles round trip to get lessons in honing from a honemiester and made the trip many times. Well worth the time and gasoline in my case. If it isn't too far taking onimaru55 up on his generous offer would fast forward the learning curve.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Cheers Jimmy. Canberra - Sydney is about 600 klms round trip. Can understand any hesitancy.

jtank13 ~ I'm wondering if there aren't some old school barbers in A.C.T. that might help you. You may have to hunt hard but might get lucky.
