Micro Photography
With all the great talent running around loose on this forum I was wondering if anyone has ever taken pictures through a microscope of various edge conditions. I think it would be pretty interesting to actually see what the edge goes through as it progresses through all the stages from dull to perfectly sharpened. Or to compare a sharp edge to one that's just starting to pull a little for example.
Has anyone done this before or are there any takers?

Tim Zowada took some and they are in the Wiki here. Many other members have also taken photos of edges and of hones through a microscope.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.
