Brian Donofrio did an excellent video or two on honing as well as on restoration. Unfortunately, I can't seem to find where they are on this site. Maybe someone can help.

Time to call on the experience of true honemeisters! A somewhat generic question, I'm just looking for a direction, not a specific "aha" that's what I needed thing.
You have a razor, nice and sharp, and after numerous shaves, you notice it is beginning to pull a bit, and the shave is not as comfortable as it once was. .50 pasted flatbed strop just doesn't turn the trick anymore. Using a Norton 4/8k, do you go with a full pyramid, or maybe an abbreviated version, like 1/3,1/3,1/5, 1?

Thanked: 4942I did the amateur video on shaving and it was crazy trying to get it up on the web initially. This one is covering everything from razors to stropping to honing and shaving. Lot's of editing......lol. Lynn
