    Default Success!

I'd like to send a big 'Thank You" to all the gents that helped me out with my problem razor, from the thread "A Question" a little way down the page.
I followed everyone's advice... Stayed on the 5K until it shaved arm hair. At that point all the chipping along the edge was gone. I did two sets of 20 X strokes on the 8K before finishing on the 12K. The edge now looks, and more importantly, shaves fantastic!
It's much sharper, but the most noticable improvement is the smoothness. I do quite a few passes on a shave, because I consider every stroke practice,. but no burn whatsoever.
Sham was correct however, there is a slight bend to the spine. I worked around it with the X strokes by angling the spine away a bit at the start of my stroke. It seemed to help.
So, a big "Thank You" to all the knowledgable gentlemen who helped me out in the other thread. It's great of these guys to share their hard won knowledge and tips so unselfishly!

    Thanks again to all!

BTW, the razor shaved so nicely, it's in my SOTD for today!
