    Default The Pyramid on Japs

    I have a couple of Japanese waterstones (4000 and 8000 grit 2x4"). I got the el-cheapo ebay special razor up to the point where it gives me a good shave but still gets a bit snagged on tougher/denser hair. The PDF outlining the Pyramid says it's only for Norton stones and not for Japanese stones. Does anyone have an idea on how to modify the Pyramid to give me a proper edge?

    The Japanese stones are slower cutting than the Norton hones. This means you will have to do more on the Japs.
    My best and honest answer is to experiment.
    Try doing more sets of pyramids and/or increasing/decreasing the ratios in each set.
