Thanked: 0thank you everyone for your thoughts. I need to stick to this one razor for right now (at least for a few months) and it is one of the cheaper ones you can buy, so I won't ever sell it. (lack of money keeps me from the disease....when i buy a razor, it will be cheap, and it will be mine forever...... ) I think I might have to blunt it just a tiny bit to not get discouraged. I'll keep you posted.

I don't want to sound harsh here and don't take this the wrong way but simply put the problem isn't with the razor. Rather than butcher the razor learn how to control it.
You should be able to get a great comfortable shave with the spike. You need to analyze why the spike is doing what it's doing to you and change the way you are holding it as you do your stroke. Be aware of where the end is at all times and watch how you tilt the razor as you shave and how you stretch your skin.
Once you learn to use it you might very well find you love spikes. Many do and even prefer them.No matter how many men you kill you can't kill your successor-Emperor Nero

Thanked: 267Care must be taken when you hit the point because it can push some very sharp flakes of steel off the side of the now rounded point. Just make sure to check it.
