I just picked up an Escher on the bay for $330 (with shipping from Australia)... Of course, I haven't received it yet, so I can't say what color it is firsthand.

I paid around $600 for a Y/G a few months back, well worth it in my opinion.
And I do feel it refines the edge a bit coming off the 12K Naniwa. Not much, mind you, Just a tad. Sort of smoothes and sharpen at once, if that ,akes any sense.Bjoernar
Um, all of them, any of them that have been in front of me over all these years....

Right now i finish on a 12k nani , all razors are sharp but not all are smooth, would the escher make them smoother???
