About 15 years ago I bought a straight razor. The thing
was a Double Arrow 6/8 RP that was made in China.
I tried to shave and I was actually using the correct
angle but the thing was not shave ready. Having no
one to turn to I simply gave up.

Well on Bills page under the meat choppers is a razor
made in China and it has the same crossed arrow trade
mark. http://www.billysblades.com/MC.Razors/3154.htm
The number on this one is 66, the number on mine is 200.

Well just for the hell of it I decided to do 20 passes on
the 1.0 side of the Tony Miller paddle strop and then 20
on the .5 side. I then made 30 passes on the leather
strop.

Well, to my amazement and delight the thing actually
SHAVED!! . I mean smoothly!! All these years I have
a razor MINUTES away from shaving and did not know it!!
Just think how far I would be today had I had someone
to turn to back in 1990 or 1991.

There is a small amount of rust around the pin on the blade
end and some discoloration on the tang. The blade is good
though. The scales are just flimsy plastic though.

Thank you Bill Ellis for having this razor on your page. And I want
to thank this forum for helping make this possible. Though I rarely
ask a question I do take note of what you guys say.

Well enough I my rambling, I just had to share this.

Regards to all,

Terry
