    Default New to sharpening

    Hi
I am new to the site, and live in San Diego. Are there any members out this way who can give me some lessons on sharpening? Is it realistic to think I can get an edge as sharp as the injector blades on a Mr. C?

I live in Los Angeles and I would also like to learn some sharpening. Maybe if we have some members down this way we could have a meet up someplace.

    Howdy -
I live just up the coast highway in Oceanside. I'm relatively new to honing but I've been getting some pretty good results. I would be up for a SolCal get together if we could make it happen. PM me if you want a phone # or email.

Hello from Thousand Oaks! I live between LA and Santa Barbara. I could be up for a get together. I hone my own razors and have a nice little collection of natural hones.

Straight edges feel a lot different than disposable edges like injector blades. First thing if you want to hone is buy the norton 4/8k stone and an old straight razor from ebay. We will help you when you have these.
