The Perfect Edge
I talked to Howard at the Perfect Edge Friday afternoon - it was a very informative discussion - I ended up buying a bout Coticule from him - after I've tried it, I'll post a review.

Please let us know. Although the shape of the stone can be odd, it should work pretty well.

I bought both a coticule and the blue from howard both 8x3 and they are great stones. With a little practice you can work real magic with them.

I also bought mine from howard. It is a 8x2 natural blue/yellow coticule. I am still learning the honeing art. So far it has been working great. I would have to agree, Howard is a great guy. I originally called him up looking for a yellow coticule and after talking with him decided on the natural blue/yellow.

Kees,
If you are looking for a Belgian Coticule, you might find it a bit closer to you. Try this store in Holland:

Can I take you up on that offer? I know the shop in Nieuwegein, their coticules are a bit too narrow to my taste. If about 2" wide your run less risk of hollowing the blade out.
Cheers!
