    still having trouble ,every one talks about norton water stones ,would a 4000/8000 combo sufice for honong razors

    The Norton 4000/8000 combo in 3" width is probably the preferred hone around here. Some folks will take it a step further, finishing on a 10,000 or higher hone or a pasted strop.

    The Norton is a 4000/8000 combo. I like my little coticule though. Nortons are way too pricey to get over here. In the states they don't pay as much on shipping.
