    Default STILL WAITING

I had put this hone /strop up some time ago hoping someone would recognise it and tell me what the hard side was and how to use it.
I just realized that I'm still waiting, even though I got a few nice whatever it is,no one told ME what it was and what to put on the hard side. That much we established that it used some type of paste or something on the hard leather for lack of a better word. Does anyone know what this side is for?Is it a hone or some type of strop Ive never seen?I don't know weather to strop or hone with it. Please some help guys...someone must know what this thing is...HELP!
By the way ,it says Allegra 200,Swiss made, but that's all folks.

For sure, the soft leather is the lighter side, which would be used as a finish strop, but what is the darker side made of?? If you look at the side view, the lighter color "wraps around" and the darker color does not! It looks as if a stiff material, which still is probably slick leather over wood? if I may guess! Nice, Tho!
If buttered up, it would make a fine travel strop, which is probably it's intended purpose!

I have one of those. It is a travel strop. The dark side, the one with nothing underneath it, is for daily stropping. The other side, with the felt under the leather, is to be used as an abrasive pasted paddle strop. I would put some Crox 0.5 micron on it or diamond abrasive 0.25 micron. That side should only be used when the razor starts to pull a bit.

    Hope this helps,
