Default solved aka now shave tested

Since I promised to come back and Ive got some pics I thought I should finish this thread.

Likely culprit seems to have been slight depressions along the edge on the middle of the hone, which made the tip without hone-contact during the "rotational-bevel-setting"-part.

Another factor is that my x-stroke was wobbly and this blade was done all with "slanted" (45deg) x-strokes this time around which not only helped my stroke stabilise but also sorted the edge.

So, lapping hones are a good idea. And so is "watching the wake"...

Thanx for all the help and happy holidays!
