Yup. It's obvious that the guy doesn't have the first clue about how we hone!

the scary part is his edge testing routine (super fast edge against nail) and also the hand stropping is really hard core... LIKE EXXXTREEEEEEME!

I haven't watched the dvd that came with my new razor from him but the edge is fantastic. Clearly gets the right results.

What disturbs me the most about his honing, is the lack of care for his newly produced product. I wish he would take suit like most other vendors and put some tape on the spine. I know the razors are meant to be used, but when you take something that has a beautiful pattern, then break it up with hone wear, it is a shame.

Watching the videos available, the only sense I get is someone who is so comfortable with the razor making process, from forging to stropping, that he moves so fast as to make all others pale in comparison. A true master at work.

Yes, I see how he flips his razors over the edge instead of the spine, but a man doesn't make razors that sell for $1000+ if he can't put a proper edge on them. Just because he is able to work quickly doesn't mean he can't do a proper job.
