    Default Thanks Gssixgun and Lynn

After more single malt than was prudent (retrospectively assesed), I made a serious of incremental increases (likewise imprudent) on the ebay auction of a bone-scaled Bengal. The thing was gorgeous from where I sat, thousands of internet miles distant.

Sober eyes witnessed the unveiling. Closed, it was lovely; opened, it was a reminder of why single malts and cigars, not ebay, are the perfect combo. Chipped and scalloped is not "shave ready."

Six months ago, I gave up on this piece. But after viewing Gssixgun's honing video series and Lynn's expo at the '09 convention (this video can be found in this forum under a title like "creating a bevel on the Norton 4k/8k" or something like that) I mustered the courage to fight on.

This morning I did indeed get a bbs shave from that Bengal. But it's not about me (more applause please for my great honejob). There is so much great stuff here from these two and many others. Thanks Glenn, Lynn and you others who's names I'll either forget or butcher: Hollispring, Zib, Zed, Utopian, JimmyHad, Maximillian, bigspndr, budhi on an on.

This is just a thank you: thanks all; pass the styptic please

    Jim

We all help each other and that's what it's all about, I personally am grateful that I found SRP two years ago and learned about this crazy hobby.
