    I'm sure Lynn would be the first one to agree that there is no one honing technique/style, no ultimate honig science, in fact, not even science at all, more art.
    And personally, I like to watch different artists at work, see the differences, the similarities.

    I really think people here in the forums would appreciate every effort people make, but I guess you can't force anybody...

    Just so. I can easily see the benefit of the 'X' pattern on the hone, but haven't found that touch myself. But when it all comes down to it;

    "The earth’s a Big Blue Marble when you see it from out there.
    The sun and moon declare our beauty’s very rare.
    Folks are folks and kids are kids we share a common name.
    We speak a different way but work and play the same.
    We sing pretty much alike, enjoy Spring pretty much alike;
    Peace and love we all understand and laughter, we use the very same brand.
    Our differences, our problems from out there there’s not much trace
    Our friendships they can place while looking at the face of the Big Blue Marble in space."

    I have to do an X my Barber hones are too small to go straight. But I will say this, I am getting the hang of it. Did three yesterday with the help of a Barber Hone pyramid Hal made and sent me and it WORKED. I had to go back to the "bottom" of the pyramid twice on two (he broke it down,touchup,or ebay). But I got 3 razors "shave ready"!

    Do us all a favor and post the Barber hone Pyramids here!
    Hal knows his barber hones and I would be very interested in his suggestions.
