Arrow How I Hone A Smiling Razor

Hey guys- I rarely post in the honing forum, but figured this is relevant...

I made a couple of honing videos dealing specifically with honing smiling razors (and more specifically, the ones I make). Thought I'd share them here...

YouTube - Honing an Alex Jacques razor... Part I.mov

YouTube - Honing an Alex Jacques razor... Part II.mov

    Enjoy!

Thanks Alex....this was great to see. I have a few smiling blades of yours and this was a big help. I still haven't had to even touch up one of your blades. Still as sharp as the day I got them and I shave with them every week in my rotation.

One Question: Why cut the Norton hone in half?
