Should I try to correct over-honed toe?
The Friodur came in in great shape except for an over-honed toe.
1) There are scratches on the backside at the toe (tip) of the blade.
2) The blade shows excessive hone wear at the toe.
3) The honing (sharpening) of the razor is not even from toe to heel.
4) The razor is scratched around the spine (back) at the toe.
5) The edge is rolled-over at the toe.
Should I keep this razor? Should I try to even up the honing from toe to heel, or just go with it as is?Last edited by tombuesing; 07-05-2006 at 10:10 PM.
