I've honed the razors I have over and over, trying to consistently improve my results. It's not too often I get a new pony in the show...but today I've started in on a full-hollow 5/8 Joseph Allen with ever so slight a smile that you can only see it when you lay it on a stone.

Bevels are even and look good (no wave or twist) but this thing SCREECHES across the stone (only had it on my SS 1K) on each stroke.

Just curious as to how common this is? I figure it's due to the ever so slight smile letting the portion of the blade not on the stone "sing".
