    You can use the black autobody sandpaper on any of them. I lapped my shapton 320 the other day on 220 sandpaper. The particles of the stone will also help in the abrasion process to flaten the stone as well. I only use this stone to take out chips (with tape on the spine of course) or with knives. I never go below 1K unless I am doing edge repair.
