    Default Honing w/chromium oxide paste

After honing with my norton stones and finished with the green chromium oxide paste on a paddle strop I am ready to go. Here is my question, in a theoretical sense. Should I need to go back to the stones or just continually use the paste for touch up honing?

Some say you'll eventually need the stones, others say not so much. Just try it and see. I would just use the stones if you need to, strops can carry you a long way, especially if you start using Diamond sprays and such too.

If you catch the edge before it begins to really deteriorate you can get by with the paste for quite some time. Eventually you will need the hone though.
