In Praise of the Unicot Method
I've only been honing for a short time, but I find it to be a fun and rewarding hobby. I opted for the coticule route as opposed to a set of synthetics knowing that I would be confronted with a slightly steeper learning curve. Until recently, I had been using the dilucot method exclusively with frustratingly hit-or-miss results. But about three weeks ago I shifted to the unicot method and it has consistently been giving me great edges on the ebay specials that I buy to practice. In addition, my unicot edges are generally much smoother and sharper than my dilucot edges that manage to pass the HHT. I look forward to eventually mastering the dilucot, but at the moment, I'm loving the unicot

Glad to hear you are having some sweet success.
I always aim for a perfect dilucot, but sometimes the unicot makes those tough honing sessions work our perfectly.
Lol we all love our coticule pics tho, so post those picsShaving_story on Instagram

Ask and ye shall receive. The first stone is the top half of a Les Latneuses hybrid. The second is a combo stone. I don't know what vein it is from.

Awesome stones,
You have a great set up right there and are set. lol as long as you dont start collecting you dont need anything else.
The bottom stone might be a le Veinette but i could be wrong.
Dont be afraid to post your pic in the Belgian brotherhood:
