Thanked: 10Honing "touch up" with Chromium oxide note
On a hunch, I made a slurry of chromium oxide with camellia oil. I did this on a "chinese" water stone.
the razor had began become just too dull for a comfortable shave...
to make a long story short, this worked extremely well.
This worked very well, in a very short time..
I gave stroked her until the green oil was completely removed with each stroke (maybe 10 passes), then took it to the strop, then & then got an excellent shave.
It sure is better than the water stone alone!
Hope this helps,
Kirk
