    Default lesson learned today......

i have been reading about CRoX and the miracles it can perform... but i have been having a bit of trouble locating some at a economical price *(wife has put a serious clamp on my ass about RAD and assorted other money leaks)... but i noticed a recurring theme as i searched the internet reading all i could about CRoX.... paint pigment......

so i went to the local Micheals hobby store and spent about a hour reading ingredients when i finally found paydirt.... cotman water colors viridian green.... pure CRoX mixed with gum arabic and dextrin.. .27oz for $5..

took it home and got out one of my home made tandy leather strops and put 4 pea sized drops and then wet my fingers and rubbed it in.....

then did my normal honing of setting the bevel with 1000k then honing out with 6000k jap waterstones this is how i have been getting my razors shave ready... and to be honest with a good bit of stropping i have good close shaves.......

well.... after i finished with the 6k i gave my favorite razor ~30 round trips on the CRoX treated leather and then stropped it on out with my bench strop freshly treated with neats foot oil....

WOW!!! what a difference... it passed the HHT along the entire length of the blade using my wifes hair *(her hair is fine like a babies) *(i am now bald as i cut my hair july 4th to donate to locks of love *(it was 18" long tip to tip... ))... i did a quick lather up and what a incredible difference...

thank you guys for all the invaluable info i was able to dig up here....

and for $5 i got a lifetime supply of CRoX.......
