Can this be honed out?

So, I just realized that the blade I've been working on the past week has a slight frown in it. Someone please tell me this can honed out. I know this isn't really where this post should be, so mods feel free to move where appropriate.

Yes it can be honed out, but you have to know what yer doing on the hones to fix it..

Thanks Glen. I don't have a hone, so I am going to throw myself on the mercy of the board to find a honer that can fix it and get it honed appropriately once I get it scaled up. I just wanted to make sure that I wasn't barking up an empty tree before I continued restoring.

I will keep this in mind if I decide to get rid of it. I doubt it, but you never know.......

Of course, if you have one you want restored, I can work on the blade. I'm not so sure about the rescaling, but the blade sanding I can do! haha.

I'm not sure it needs to be honed out. Does it shave ok? I might be willing to fix it for you if you need it. Are you close to VA by mail? You'd need to give me some time to work on it though. That be quite a bit of work. You could have someone like Glen shape the blade for you.

It can be honed out, check the classifieds under member services send a few PMs and ask a few questions and then compare the answers.

Not because of the frown, but how close the heel already is to the shoulder.

What makes me upset is that I didn't see this to begin with. As much time as I have spent with this blade in my hands over the last week, I should have already seen the frown. It is really a big let down. I have a Shumate Barber that I might just start on before I go much further with this blade. I want to use my custom scale design, but I'm not sticking it on a crap razor.
