Thanked: 0Hi guys:
I did all the way long the pyramid method from the begining adn i got a decent edge, i tried today and i got a good shaving with my straight, not as smoth as i wouold like but still aceptable. Now i thing i need to improve my strop technique so i will move to that forum. I only have one more question:
I have and a Boker King Cutter is brand new. Never used and factory edge, so i saw at the pyramid method explanation that instead of going all the way i should start at the point of 15 passes and go down, is that right?
Thanks to everyone who responded to my post.
sincerely

Thanked: 443You are correct about your new Boker. Start with a low number of strokes. You can always go back and do more if the smaller pyramid didn't work for you.
Actually, if it's a factory edge, you should try shaving with it first. If it pulls, see if a good stropping brings it into good shaving shape. If it still pulls just start with a few very light strokes on the 8k side of your Norton. No need to drop back to the 4k and pyramid until you're sure you can't fix it with the 8k.
Good luck, senor."These aren't the droids you're looking for." "These aren't the droids we're looking for." "He can go about his business." "You can go about your business."
