    Default second shave with it

I just complete my second shave with the big ole hairy wedge i worked on a few weeks ago, and want to know if its just me. When i did the test shave, it went well, but now that i have had a chance to let i rest and run it again, i find it could be a little bit sharper. is this a common situation, or as i asked, is it just me.

I've done that before as well. Whether or not it was just a poor shave that day or what I can tell you that it bugged me to no end until I honed it back up. There could also be a chance that you had a sloppy strop day or something along those lines. I haven't had this happen in quite a while, but if you find that the edge is actually degrading that fast you may want to look at it or assess how you did the restore if applicable.

An edge shouldn't degrade that quickly, but I've seen it happen. When it did, I suspected the razor and re-honed it.

to be honest, i dont think the edge has degraded, i think it is one of those things where i probably could have been a tad more polished, or maybe it was just me. I think im gonna take it back to the 8k and then the escher, and see what i think after that.
