Thanked: 1Dropped razor...
Hi all,
Been working with my Dovo for a couple of weeks now. Things are getting easier....not easy yet, but easier!
Unfortunately the other day I dropped it on the counter and there are two very, very small chips on the edge that are visible only under my loupe. With my 4000/8000 stone, what do you guys recommend? It shaved OK, but was not quite like before...
Thanks!

Thanked: 2591use the 4k side of the stone to remove the ships, then use your regular honing routine to hone the razor.

Thanked: 1Oooh, maybe made some break through today. I thought I'd spend some time on the DOVO before sending it in to rehone. I concentrated on the light pressure aspects. It now passes the HHT all along the blade! WhoooT! That's a first for me... so tomorrow will be the big test shave, crossing my fingers because the razor certainly seems sharp, and the edges look good under magnification. It it sucks tomorrow, I'm pretty sure it's my ham hands. LOL
