It's actually a Swedish blade, C.V. Heljestrand.

Small blades like that should have one layer of tape max.

This also applies to a Bowdins razor.

Thank you so much for the history and info on Bowdin. I will dull my razor and start over. However, It will be slow going and with caution. Thanks again.
