    Default Sticking?

I was recently doing a touch up on a razor and it seemed to be sticking to the hone. I could feel a slight resistance when I went to flip the razor. Any idea what is causing this? I know I didn't spill anything one the hone or the razor. Am I doing something wrong?

I find that sometimes happens depending on the razor and hone. I think it's a suction kind of thing. I get it with finishing hones especially those with a polished surface. It's nothing to be concerned with.

On the 8K and 12K, the suction you are feeling can be useful determining honing progress. Pay attention!

When the hone starts sucking the blade , I usually either move up to the next higher grit hone , or strop and shave with it .

Yep, that can be a good sign, not a bad one.
