Well it has been said that the primary reason that Rome conquered the Ardennse (sp?) Region was so they would have an abundant supply of coticule. Not sure if that is true, but given the excellence of the stone......i can see why they would.

So the stones success is deep rooted in history. It was used for more than sharpening blades.

Patience is key, that and a lot of help from the community here. I have reached my next level for sure. Cant wait to see what time and practice holds for me.

You wont regret the investment. Just takes a while to learn your stones characteristics. Mine is very fast on slurry, and slower than Christmas on water, at least that is the results i am getting right now.
