    The key with wedges as Randy mentioned is the angled approach to honing. 45 degrees vs. 90 degrees. Makes a ton of difference without taking off a ton of shoulder.

    Lynn, could you please expand on that? I am assuming that you mean not straight across the hone, but a 45 degree x.
