Thanked: 1936I would be careful with what products I would display unless the display is behind you where people couldn't fondle your shaving products. The more people we can get into this sport, the better.
I'm not sure if I would display straight razors as a dull straight is sharper than most folks have ever experienced & it could be quite a liability...besides, I wouldn't want a straight to "grow legs" and walk off...maybe a few razors behind glass would work.
If it's just about honing...you must know to hone or people will see thru you. Honing is an acquired skill, starting at where most self taught"skilled" knife sharpeners end. Please understand that I make this statement based on your post count & mean no offense if you are a skilled honer.
A great display, IMO, would have highly magnified photo's of a razors edge. People are visual. You could show a photo at each interval from bevel set to finisher, maybe some pics of a disposable name brand razor's edge compared to a straight razor. I primarily use Shapton GS stones, so I would display 1,4,8,16K and then the finished edge. You could also include pics off your like Escher/Thuringian, Asagi, Charnley Forrest, Coticule, Special Stone, and so on.
Hope this helps...
