I do not know if this applicable to the OP's situation but I shave with fairly big fluffy rug under my feet. This will not eliminate this kind of event completely but the three times that I have dropped a razor it has saved all but one.

    Take Care,
    Richard

Thanks, that's very good of you but i got a good razor and i wouldn't want to drop somebody else's razor. Besides my R.A.D. is in labour pains as we speak and about to explode!

Very slight bend only in the toe, tried to show a picture but none would show the problem. Imagine holding the razor edge up pointing away from you the toe of the edge would bend unnoticeably to the left.
This sounds like a good case to use wedge style grinds to me

i also have the same problem i got a very nice looking wade and butcher which had a very small chip in it on ebay, i went to the 1k and eventully got it out (chip was on end of blade not tip where the bend is at) but as i did it noticed the blade didnt completely touch while on the pass to me on the hone. the bend seems to be realy small and i could only tell the bend was at the tip when i used light and was moving the blade and saw it reflect diffrently on the tip. since its an old blade is it worth this risk to try and straighten it or should i leave it since its so slight.
