Default Is my favorite blade DOA?

Having been honing blades of different types for years (but new to straight razors), I ask the question "Is my razor DOA?".

Dropped my favorite blade (and best shaver) right after stropping it yesterday morning. Fortunately, no body parts got in the way. It is my favorite both because it is a great shaver, and because I have ties to both Duluth, MN and Marinette, WI (search on Aerial Cutlery to learn more).

There's a ton of metal to be removed in order to give this thing an edge again, and my other question is, "Is it worth it (if it's possible)"?

Fortunately, I do have one backup, so I won't be shaggy. TIA for any good advice.

It could have been way worse don't beat yourself up. If you can't fix it yourself send it out to some like Glenn or whoever you like and they will make it as good as new just a little smaller. sorry you had to go through that but it can be a great blade still.

It's not DOA, not terminal at all, just needs to be honed.

Not DOA by a long shot. PM with photos to a member who offers restoration services and I'm sure in no time your favorite will be back in your rotation before you know it.
Why doesn't the taco truck drive around the neighborhood selling tacos & margaritas???
