    Default Honing

Honing I miss u so much. Yes I'm crazy I know but I like the process of it I am at peace when I do it but I'm trying to keep my edge on my razor. So I created a experiment so I don't have to hone that much. The experiment is I use a newspaper to hone to kinda keep my edge there and it's easier for me so I don't have to hone every week

You shouldn't have to hone every week...unless you're using a different razor every week that you just bought from a flea market. I'd suggest trying a strop. I bought a razor from Larry about 7 months ago...It's still shaving sharp, and it's never seen anything but leather and face since I've had it.

Well they'd know better than me. I (try to)hone everyday, but that's just cause I can't do it right. I wish I could miss honing, but I'm not there yet . :P

Thought about a strop + a pasted strop to keep your edges fresh? i have a nasty beard but i don't have to refresh very often.

Roy told me about your beard, in your case, learn to hone!!

I've worked with Roy's technique and it's simple and quick. It took me many a try to get a decent edge, but I think I'm turning the corner.

Nothing sucks worse than shaving with a razor that just isn't quite there!!

A simple setup will probably do you just fine for less than you might think!

    Good luck Mate!!

Buy razors with hard steel. Seriously...

Yes my beard is ridiculous. And even with the right beard prep it still is a tuff beard hahah I too am adopting Roy's technique for honing to see how it goes
