It's an interesting exercise alright. But is it consistent?

I played around with a very sensitive scale I have and I found the individual razor, the exact way of holding it, any jewelry I was wearing on fingers or wrist and my mood from day to day yielded big differences when I thought I was using the same pressure from razor to razor.

I think just learning to do it by feel is the best way.

I totally agree as we are all different and even the individual like you state can introduce different factors into the equation causing variances at points in time. For myself I'm trying to get that feel of the light finisher as my baseline for if I need to use more pressure to set a bevel.
