I've been looking around some magnified images of a wire edge, but all I cans find here is dead links or deleted pictures. Can anyone help me out here?

The question that springs to my mind is 'why do want to see a wire edge?', however, having said that, you may have better luck on some of the knife or woodworking forums.
I don't frequent them so you will have to do your own search in that regard.
I wish you good luck in your quest

If you Google it, there is one picture. It's an extreme example.

The problem with microscopic photos is that it can be hard to discern what you are looking at. For example, the two images of a burr posted here. But as that article explains -- "It may be present in the form of a fine wire on the edge of a freshly sharpened tool" -- the resulting burr can be felt.

Don't worry too much about what you cannot see. If you over hone a razor, you will be able to feel the wire edge you created and will instantly know what it is. I did it to an axe I over worked with a file when I was a boy scout. You can't see it, but you will feel it on the side that the burr is folded over (as in Martin103's illustration above).
    Namaste,

Wire edge + straight razor = BAD

Flip the blade after every pass.
