    Default Phoenix AZ honemeister?

Anyone know of a reputable honemeister in the Phoenix area?

    Thanks in advance.

I think dirtychrome hones. I am meeting up with him tomorrow at ye olde pipe and tobacco over by the biltmore at 5. stop by if you wanna shoot the shit and smoke a cigar. I typically either hone my own or splurge and have Glen or Lynn hone my razors.

It's suprising given the population of Phoenix alone. I was in the AOS store at Fashion Square and they mentioned a guy in Scottsdale they use but I haven't been able to find him

Did anyone get an answer to this? I would like to get a couple of my straight razors properly sharpened. I don't have the skills to do a proper job. Like shaving with a dull butter knife, well not that bad but close.

I am in the Phoenix area and work in Biltmore.

The Art Of Shaving store at Fashion square mall can send them out to a local shop in Scottsdale. I think they said it is15.00 but double check. The sharpening guy is somewhere around Miller rd and I believe Camelback but I couldn't find them. I didn't look real hard either. If you find the shop itself please post a reply. The AOS store might tell you if you ask. Hope this helps.

On a side note, a couple of our local SRP members have been very generous and offered me some lessons on honing. I am sure if you ever want to give it a whirl we could all probably work something out.

Thank you for everyone that had a comment here. I called TAOS (The Art of Shaving) and The Phoenix Knife House is who they use. Told me to ask for Eaton.

And if any of the Phoenix, Mesa, Tempe, Scottsdale, Glendale or Perioa SRP members would like to get together for maybe a cigar or a drink and discuss proper honing techniques I am more than open to that.
