Thanked: 0K. So, I checked it out with my small microscope and I didn't see anything odd. I did notice that it looked like some of the microscopic pieces of metal weren't exactly straight towards the toe of the razor. Could this be some of the problem with it not feeling as sharp on that end? I took it and stropped it again very slow and methodically and will try to shave with it again tomorrow. Do I need to wait at least 24 hours to shave with it again. Can it be overstropped. Thanks guys!

Thanked: 13246Overstropped ??? No
Mis-Stropped??? Yes
At a certain number of laps your stropping has no more effect, how many laps that varies per person we normally say 25 linen/ 50 leather is a good starting point..
Hint: Lay your hanging strop along the edge of a table or counter, when you are new, this lets you concentrate on the "Flip" and eliminates the tension issue while you learn..

Just for the greater good in the information section, I go 40/60 strops. Any more than that and I think I would be spinning my wheels, ...............................yes??
Strop SLOW at first, speed with any tactile skill requires practice, 381st rule of the shaving universe!!
IMHO only, tinkersd
