Default The best way to lap a barber’s hone

The best way I’ve found to lap at barber’s hone is to ……. well …….. have my daughter do it.

Whenever I’m restoring razors in the garage, my daughter always asks to help. She really gets excited about working in the garage with Daddy. It can sometimes be a struggle to find things that are safe for her to help with. I can’t exactly have her buff razors on the buffing wheel, right? Today I got creative and asked if she wanted to grid lap some hones.

“What’s that Daddy?” “Well, let me show you Sweetie …………..”

I’m truly blessed to have such a great little helper.

    How cool is that?

My daughter is 23 and lives out of town while going to university. I miss the days of having a little girl around.

Yes!!!! Exactly!!!! Give the kids the task you don't want. You are happy not to do it, they are happy to help!!!! In all honesty it is great to have something shared with the kiddos. Enjoy!

One of my fondest childhood memories is wet sanding my father's restored Henry J. It got painted baby blue. I was about 4years old and helping made me feel really big and important. Memories like this will keep you in her heart for a lifetime and maybe more.
